TARRYTOWN, N.Y An alarm at the Wells Fargo Bank in the shopping mall at North Broadway and Route 119 was just one of many calls the Tarrytown Volunteer Fire Department responded to Sunday in following Tropical Storm Irene.
At approximately 11 a.m., first apparatus and emergency responders rushed to the Wells Fargo Bank to check on an alarm.
These kinds of things often happen during storms when theres a lot of wind and power shortages, said Tarrytown Volunteer Chief Gene Gasparre. We expect to be busy for the next couple of days responding to events. We check them all.
Representatives of the bank were called and it appeared there was no fire or apparent damage or entry to the bank.
