Tarrytown 3rd Friday Plans Main Street Beach Party

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — When Tarrytown Third Friday says they’re putting on a beach party, they make sure to bring in the sand.

Greg Galloway, Tarrytown Third Friday manager, said Friday’s event will indeed have sand, courtesy of Blue Box Containers. They’re also putting on a summer fashion show at 6 p.m. on South Washington Street.

The show will feature familiar Tarrytown shops: clothes from Viviana and Quirky Consignment, styling by Elite Hair Design and Hair on the Hudson. Live music will be provided by Rock Island Sound.

North American Refinery will continue to fundraise for the Washington Irving School playground as well, according to Galloway. The group has raised more $600 of the $1,000 they need. The Set Back Inn will also raise money for the playground with $10 tickets at the door going directly to the fund.

The activities start at 5 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. on Main Street in Tarrytown. Music, food, shopping and even martial arts will be present at the event.
