Stamford Native Reported Missing In Nepal After Deadly Earthquake

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 60-year-old woman who is a Stamford native has been reported missing in Nepal after a deadly 7.8-magnitude struck the area, according to NBC Connecticut.

Jennifer Cushman, who now lives in New York City and was trekking in Nepal, has been registered through the International Committee of the Red Cross as a missing person in Nepal.

Cushman was reportedly last in Kathmandu, her sister Amanda Cushman told NBC Connecticut, and was due to leave the city for a nature preserve the day of the quake.

Over 3,800 deaths have been reported and many more are unaccounted for after the massive earthquake.
