Soldier From Westchester, 22, Shot, Killed Outside Tacoma Nightclub

A search is underway for the suspect or suspects in a fatal shooting of a 22-year-old soldier from Westchester outside a nightclub in Tacoma, Wash., on Sunday.

Da'Quan Foster, a Yonkers native who grew up in New Rochelle, was shot several times following an argument outside the Latitude 84 club at 1:40 a.m., according to reports by news media in Washington.

Foster's wife, who was with him at the time, was also shot, suffering non-life threatening injuries. 

The two were walking out of the nightclub when they were confronted by one or more suspects, leading to an exchange of words then a suspect pulling out a handgun used to shoot Foster and his wife as they attempted to flee, according to the Olympian.

The two reportedly have a young child.

Foster was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, located southwest of Tacoma.

A 2013 New Rochelle High School graduate, Foster was an indoor track standout in the 55-meter dash, 300 meters and shot put who participated in the 2013 Section 1 championships.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the person responsible for the shooting.
