The IAC granted Phelps accreditation in extracranial cerebrovascular testing, peripheral arterial testing and peripheral venous testing. Some states require accreditation before allowing vascular testing on a hospital's grounds.

“The IAC accreditation is a nationally recognized validation of our practice in the diagnosis of vascular-related illnesses. It recognizes the commitment to excellence by our physicians and vascular staff,” Tim Wages, Phelps' senior director of ancillary services, said.

Phelps’ Cardiovascular Diagnostic Laboratory allows for early detection of vascular ailments, and patients are encouraged to go to accredited facilities to get the most accurate diagnosis.
