Sleepy Hollow Residents Celebrate Hanukkah

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Hanukkah will begin at sunset on Tuesday and last until Wednesday, Dec. 28. Local synagogues are preparing to celebrate the upcoming holiday with special events in the Tarrytown area.

Irvington will light its village menorah on Thursday at the Fire Station at 7 p.m. with the Chabad of the Rivertowns for the third night of Hanukkah. The Irvington Fire Station is located at 90 Main St.

Religious officials urge residents to “join us for latkes, donuts, live music and great” Hanukkah spirit.

Temple Beth Abraham will host a Hanukkah dinner on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at its location at 25 Leroy Avenue in Tarrytown.

The Chabad of the Rivertowns has also opened its annual Wonderland event in Ardsley.

The gift shop and family fun house is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays. The store closes at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and is closed on Saturdays.

Residents can find the Wonderland at 27 Center St. near DeCicco's Grocery.
