Sleepy Hollow Police Meet With Community During Free Celebration

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- The village of Sleepy Hollow and its police force held a community event recently, providing a family-friendly setting for local law enforcement officers and residents to meet, according to report Saturday from Verizon FiOS1 News Lower Hudson Valley.

The event featured live music and entertainment as well as the Westchester Knicks, the D-League affiliate of the New York Knicks, according to FiOS1.

Residents said the free day of fun was a trust-building event and that similar efforts were necessary for a truly safe community, according to FiOS1.

Sleepy Hollow Mayor Ken Wray praised the community and its diversity while noting his pleasure in seeing people of varying incomes and ethnicities enjoying the same event, according to FiOS1.
