SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Sleepy Hollow officials and Phelps Memorial Hospital Center staff are co-sponsoring a community meeting Thursday to help residents deal with several recent tragic events, including the Sandy Hook School shooting and the deaths of Sleepy Hollow residents Catherine Kadnar and Theresa Gorski .
Phelps staff will be in the Sleepy Hollow Village Hall boardroom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to answer questions about post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, treatment and other topics. A Spanish translator will also be available.
Sleepy Hollow is urging anyone affected by recent events to attend Thursday's meeting.
Phelps staff attending the meeting will be: Judy Burns, director of behavioral health services; Rachel Schoolcraft, a program psychiatrist; and Abby Schneider, program director of Phelps counseling.
