SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Temperatures reaching into the high 90s meant residents in Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown and Irvington were looking for a cool place to hang out.

Sleepy Hollow announced Wednesday afternoon that Village Hall would open as a cooling center from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, when temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees.

Residents can cool off on the second floor of the village building, Village Clerk Paula McCarthy said in a village notification.

Residents can also find air conditioning at Warner Library and the Irvington Public Library. Warner Library is open until 6 p.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. Thursday. The Irvington Public Library is open until 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. Thursday.
