SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- The former General Motors site known as Lighthouse Landing in Sleepy Hollow has been sold, according to an announcement by Sleepy Hollow Mayor Ken Wray.

"The long awaited sale of the site of the former GM assembly plant to Lighthouse Landing Venture LLV was completed today," Wray said in a post dated Dec. 23.

SunCal of Irvine, Calif., and Diversified Realty Advisors of Summit, N.J., paid $39.5 million for the former industrial site, according to LoHud.com.

The site will be rezoned and turned into a mixed-use development, including 1,177 residential units, 135,000 square feet of retail, a 140-room hotel and a 16.1-acre waterfront park, reported LoHud.com.
