WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - The southbound side of the Saw Mill River Parkway has been reopened in both directions in Yonkers following a crash that left two with serious injuries.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that the northbound and southbound lanes of the parkway would be closed on Thursday morning as Westchester County Police conducted an accident investigation after the crash, which happened at approximately 3:15 a.m.

One southbound lane remains closed, though the rest were reopened at approximately 7:15 a.m. The northbound lanes are expected to be closed for several hours, possibly through noon, according to the NYSDOT.

Motorists traveling northbound are being redirected to Mosholu Parkway to West 230th Street to Route 9, the DOT noted.
