Republican Primary Scheduled Tuesday in New York

 

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – New York voters will head to the polls Tuesday to vote in the Republican presidential primary.

 

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Four candidates will appear on the ballot: Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.

 

Voters can find their polling places by using Westchester County's “Find Your Polling Place” application.

 

Mitt Romney is a former Massachusetts governor and former head of Bain Capital, a private equity firm. Romney is the presumptive Republican nominee in the general election.

 

Newt Gingrich was a former U.S. Representative from 1979 until 1999. He served as Speaker of the House from 1995 to 1999 and House Minority Whip from 1989 to 1995.

 

Rick Santorum is a former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania. Although he won 11 primaries and caucuses, Santorum announced he was suspending his campaign on April 10.

 

Ron Paul is a U.S. Representative and three-time candidate for president.

District No. 1: Riverside Hose Firehouse, located at White and Franklin streets.

 

District No. 2: Phenix Hose Firehouse, located at Mechanics and Central avenues.

 

District No. 3: Main Street Firehouse, located at 50 Main St.

 

District No. 4: First Baptist Church, located at 56 South Broadway.

 

District No. 5: Temple Beth Abraham, located at 25 Leroy Ave.

 

District No. 6 and 74: Tarrytown Village Hall, located at 1 Depot Plaza.

 

District No. 7 and 76: Consolidated Engine Firehouse, located at 177 Sheldon Ave.

 

District No. 55 and 82: Washington Engine Firehouse, located at 157 White Plains Road.
