TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Are radio stations skipping over the Thanksgiving holiday by playing Christmas music too early?
New York's 106.7 Lite FM started its 24-hour Christmas lineup on Nov. 16, almost a week before Thanksgiving.
Some of the station's listeners have already resumed the "too soon or too late?" debate on its Facebook page.
Proponents of the early switch to the continuous-Christmas format say the music is an early holiday gift that makes them smile.
Opponents say playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving means this week's celebration isn't getting its proper due.
