This story has been updated.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Multi-vehicle accidents led to the closure of three separates stretches of the Saw Mill River Parkway on Wednesday evening, including an accident in Yonkers that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, according to reports.

The pedestrian, an unidentified male was struck by a car and killed while crossing Lawrence Street in Dobbs Ferry, according to LoHud.com.

The incident occurred at 6:30 p.m. and the northbound Saw Mill remains closed.

The southbound Saw Mill, meanwhile, also has heavy delays because the left lane is blocked because of the presence of emergency vehicles.

The latest incident occurred at 7:55 p.m. and resulted in the second closure of a stretch of the Saw Mill in Mount Kisco in the span of less than two hours.

The accident closed the soutbound side at Exit 34 (Route 33) for more than a half-hour.

Mount Kisco Police say there was also residual traffic on side roads in the area as a result of that accident and an earlier crash that closed the northbound Saw Mill Parkway in the same vicinity before it reopened.

The northbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Kisco reopened at around 7:15 p.m. following an accident reported at 6:35 p.m., that occurred between the Route 133/Main Street exit and the exit for Kisco Avenue that resulted in its closure.
