SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jason Hochfelder has joined Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
Hochfelder brings expertise in hip and knee replacement and hip arthroscopy. He is also experienced in a procedure called ACI (autologous chondrocyte Implantation), a treatment for cartilage damage that is an option for people who are too young for knee replacement.
After receiving his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, Hochfelder served his residency in orthopedic surgery at Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute and a fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute, both in New York City.
Phelps’ excellence in performing joint replacements was recognized in July in the annual hospital rankings published by U.S. News & World Report, which rated Phelps as High Performing for hip and knee replacement.
The same report ranked Phelps 16th out of 250 hospitals.
