Missing Hudson Valley Man Found, Safe

William Hunt, 79, of Maybrook in Orange County who went missing Sunday was located Monday in the town of Chester and is now safe, according to authorities.

State law enforcement officials have put out a call for help in locating a missing Hudson Valley man who suffers from dementia and may be in need of medical attention.

William Hunt, 79, was last seen on foot leaving Stewart's on Route 208 in the Village of Maybrook in Orange County, at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, said officials with the state Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Hunt, who is 6-feet tall and weighs 150 pounds with white hair and brown eyes, was wearing gray sweatpants and a black zippered hoodie when he disappeared, officials said.
