Man Charged With DWI In Briarcliff Wrong-Way Crash

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – A wrong-way crash on Route 9A on Friday resulted in one person being sent to the hospital and an Ossining man being charged with drunken driving, reports lohud.

Neil Prabhu, 39, of Ossining, was traveling north in the south lane of Route 9A about 10:30 p.m. Friday before crashing into another vehicle near the Taconic State Parkway entrance, according to the report.

The Route 9A crash was the second wrong-way accident Friday. New York City police Detective Paul Duncan, 46, was killed in a crash when a car driven by Efren Moreano, 20, of Yonkers, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the Sprain Brook Parkway.
