The group has a goal of granting more than 150 wishes for kids with life-threatening medical condition, the "real stars among us ... whose courage burns brightest," Thomas Conklin, president and CEO of the chapter, said.

Since the chapter was established in 1986, it has helped wishes come true for more than 2,400 children in the Hudson Valley counties of Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester, Conklin said.

Here are the four signature events planned for the year:

"Frank and Friends," a concert of Broadway show music -- Friday, April 8, at 8 p.m., in the historic Tarrytown Music Hall. The show will be headlined by legendary Broadway composer and songwriter Frank Wildhorn. He will be joined by Rob Evan, of "Jekyll and Hyde," "Les Miserables" and Disney's "Tarzan"; Jeremy Jordan, of "Newsies," "Rock of Ages" and "Bonnie and Clyde"; and Laura Osnes, of "Grease," "Cinderella" and "Bonnie and Clyde." The annual Wish Ball, the year's biggest fundraiser -- Friday, May 13, at another historic landmark, Tappan Hill Mansion, located on the former estate of Mark Twain. As in the past, Darlene Rodriguez of NBC's Today in New York and Mike Bennett of WHUD's Mike & Kacey in the Morning, are scheduled to serve as celebrity co-hosts for the evening's festivities. Golf for Wishes -- Tuesday, Aug. 30, from the historic Sleepy Hollow Country Club's golf course. Golf enthusiasts and some prominent individuals will enjoy lunch, tee off, and enjoy dinner and cocktails. Find details here.

The 11th Annual Walk/Run for Wishes -- Sunday, Oct. 30. The celebration of 30 years of wishes "will dramatically conclude ... when an army of hundreds of supporters, including Wish kids and their families from throughout the Hudson Valley, converge at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights," a news release notes.
