Irvington Public Library High School, Middle School Book Clubs

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- The Irvington Public Library will host a book club for both high school and middle school students.

The high school book club will meet Sept. 26 to discuss “Going Underground” by Susan Vaught.

The high school book club will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 to discuss “Going Underground” by Susan Vaught.

The book center's around Del, 17, a social outcast with a criminal record who only can get a job digging graves. It's in the graveyard that Del meets the beautiful yet sad Livia, who doesn't know anything about him. She gives him reason to be hopeful again. Except that Del's crush comes with a sea of complications and he's not sure he is ready to reveal his past. Will the truth set him free..or will it dig him in even deeper?

The middle school book club will meet at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 10 to discuss "Comet’s Curse" by Dom Testa.

When the tail of the comet Bhaktul flicks through the Earth’s atmosphere, deadly particles are left in its wake. Suddenly, mankind is confronted with a virus that devastates anyone older than 18.
