Crews will replace two water seals that sit between the lid of the reactor and the reactor vessel. Operators have been monitoring slight water leakage by the seals over the last several weeks and are replacing the seals as a proactive measure.

There was no threat of release of radiation to the environment and no threat to public or worker health or safety as a result of the leaky seals.

The plant will return to service when the maintenance work is complete. Unit two is currently operating at full power and has been online for 545 continuous days.
