TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Hurricane Sandy did more than bring down trees and power in Tarrytown. It also moved a boat from the Tarrytown Marina to Pierson Park.

The Tarrytown Daily Voice reader Mike O'Hanlan sent in a photo, saying flooding from the storm came up to the street in front of Tarrytown Village Hall and the Tarrytown Train Station during high tide. O'Hanlon and several kids were out in Pierson Park Tuesday morning to survey the damage.

“The water must have been pretty high to lift the boat over the wall,” O'Hanlon said.

O'Hanlon also noted the dilapidated barge holding the “Tarrytown Marina” sign is gone and suspects it floated away.
