ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Animal advocates are searching for the owner of a dog found Monday near the village's border with Hastings, according to a post on the Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle's Facebook page.

An image of the lost pet, an adult female, has been shared nearly 130 times since it was first posted to social media, according to the post.

Among the organizations to spread word of the dog are the Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley and Lost PETS of Westchester County NY.

Anyone who may know the dog or its owner is asked to contact the Humane Society at 914-632-2925.
