Kenneth Frank von Glahn Jr. formerly of Tarrytown and Somers, N.Y. died July 4, 2011 at the age of 86.
Kenneth was born in Brooklyn on June 27, 1925 to Kenneth and Gertrude Bohan von Glahn. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Prep and the Wharton School where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He served in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart during his service in World War II.
Kenneth had a long career as an accountant first with Price Waterhouse for 24 years and then with J.P. Morgan Chase for 24 years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Marie (Tormey) and his children Kenneth (Deborah), Christopher, Karen Vallach, Kimberly (Jung) Moon, Brian, Bruce, Mark (Laura) and Scott. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren as well as his brother William. He was predeceased by his brother Richard and his son-in-law Gregory Vallach.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with services to be held during that time.
