  • The Food Bank For Westchester hosted more than 100 area hunger-relief agencies in uplifting skills training and networking day at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown that also marked Hunger Action month.
  • Severe weather rolled through town, complete with thunderstorms and a flood advisory.
  • Greenburgh police discovered the body of a 69-year-old man lying in the roadway of Payne Road in nearby Elmsford. The man was later identified as John E. Fiddes of Elmsford. His death was an apparent suicide.
