SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Five families in Sleepy Hollow were relocated over the weekend after fire officials found "numerous violations," according to a report from LoHud .

The Red Cross later relocated 10 adults and nine children "because they could not allow them to stay in the building without gas or electricity," according to the LoHud report . Sleepy Hollow Fire Chief John Korzelius said in the report that "firefighters were called to the 171 N. Washington Ave. building about 11 a.m. Sunday on a report of electrical issues" and that "Con Edison was at the building and there was a burning smell in the electrical panel," according to the report from LoHud.

"Firefighters also found multiple code violations at the house. The gas and electric had to be shut off as a precaution, Korzelius said," according to the LoHud report.
