First Worker Injuries Reported In Tappan Zee Bridge Project

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Two workers on the new Tappan Zee Bridge project were injured in separate incidents. They are the first reported injuries related to the bridge construction project, according to LoHud.com.

A 56-year-old worker was struck in the face by a piece of construction equipment while working on a dredging barge in September. He was treated at an area hospital for his injury but has returned to work with no restrictions, LoHud.com said. 

Another worker injured his hand while helping unload a truck. He returned to work the same day, according to LoHud.com
