Each Friday we'll be posting a photo of an architectural feature or object found somewhere in the village. It's up to you to figure out the name of the building or the street where we took the photo. We saw today's photo while contemplating on its building's historical past and knew it was perfect for our weekly challenge. Extra points will be awarded to readers who can tell us what historical event we're referring to.
