School personnel reported a non-specific threat written inside a bathroom stall after school was dismissed, Superintendent Kristopher Harrison said in a statement.

After an investigation by the Irvington and Westchester County police departmenbts, it was determined the threat "had no validity," according to Harrison, and "the campus is safe for students and staff to return to school" Friday.

"As a matter of protocol, the campus was closed to allow the police to conduct an investigation," Harrison said.

Harrison said the police investigation will continue, along with an investigation by the school district, "with the goal of holding responsible parties accountable."
