- Westchester County Police charged a Sleepy Hollow man in connection with a hit-and-run accident on the Bear Mountain Parkway.
- Luis Alomar, a fugitive suspected in a string of bank robberies along the Eastern Seaboard, including possibly in Westchester and Fairfield counties, was taken into custody by the FBI.
- Commuters who use the Tappan Zee Bridge fear the closure of the northbound on-ramp to the New York State Thruway on Route 9 in Tarrytown will create more traffic jams and delays.
