Tarrytown's Susan Timm, 91, Remembered Thursday

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Longtime Tarrytown resident, Susan P. Timm died Dec. 19 at the age of 91.

Born in Italy on Jan. 17, 1920, she was the daughter of Angelo and Maria Ferraro Vaccaro. She moved to Tarrytown as a young girl. On Mar. 10, 1946, she married Caesar J. Timm at Immaculate Conception Church.

Timm was a member of St. Ann's Sodality of Immaculate Conception Church and the Tarrytown Seniors. A talented artist and cook, she enjoyed singing, dancing, sewing and crocheting. A favorite pastime was walking through the villages with her husband.

She is survived by her husband Caesar, her daughters Dolores Apollonio of Tarrytown and Diane (David) Boutross of Yorktown Heights, her sons Michael (Alean) Timm of Stamford, Conn. and Robert (Susan) Timm of Croton-on-Hudson, her sisters Mary Lombardi of Tarrytown and Lena Donzella of Tennessee, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Antoinette Lupi and her brothers Frank Vaccaro, Patsy Vaccaro and Tony Vaccaro.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown on Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be given at 10 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
