TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Marion Piazza, a resident of Tarrytown, died Jan. 16 at the age of 96.
Born Dec. 8, 1915 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Paul and Frances Battaglia Gattuso. She married John Piazza in St. Martin of Tours Church in Bronx, N.Y.
They settled in Tarrytown and Piazza became active in Transfiguration Parish. Most recently, she was a member of the Transfiguration Seniors and the Transfiguration Women's Club.
Mrs. Piazza is survived by her sister Martha Mian of Orangeburg, N.Y., a nephew and five nieces. She was predeceased by her husband John on Sep. 15, 2008, her brothers Anthony and Joseph Gattuso and her sister Katherine Daino.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. The funeral mass will commence at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Transfiguration Church, followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, N.Y.
