SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. - Rose A. "Anna" Diaz, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, died Dec. 7. She was 92.
Diaz was born Sep. 8, 1919 in Marion Heights, Penn. to Louis and Maria Testi. She married Joseph Diaz on Aug. 10, 1940 at St. Mary's Church in Marion Heights. Diaz was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
A longtime parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Sleepy Hollow, she was also a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors.
Diaz is survived by her son Blas (Maryann) Diaz of Thornwood and two grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on May 25, 1979 as well as her sisters Emma, Mary and Lena and her brother Louis.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Teresa of Avila Church, followed by interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
