New Tarrytown Shop Offers Yogurt, Crepe Delights

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Yogurt and crepes were the perfect combination for Sal Fragale.

“The frozen yogurt does really well in the summer, but as everyone knows, it's seasonal,” Fragale said. “We wanted to give some different options.”

Fragale, a Yonkers resident, recently opened Yogurt LeCrepe, a yogurt and crepe shop that offers self-serve yogurt, made-to-order crepes and free WiFi. Yogurt LeCrepe offers several flavors of frozen yogurt, a variety of yogurt toppings and sweet crepes. Fragale says the shop will offer coffee, espresso and cappuccino during the winter.

“We're very satisfied with the reviews we've been getting,” Fragale said of his shop, which has been open for about two weeks. “We're very happy with the way things have started.”

Fragale says the shop was designed to feel like a European Internet cafe.

“We're looking to give the people of Tarrytown and surrounding areas somewhere really nice and clean to go to and hang out,” he said.

In addition to free WiFi, Fragale put four iPads out on a counter for customers to use while they're in the shop. Fragale says the tablets have been popular with parents.

“It keeps the kids occupied while the parents relax and enjoy a crepe or frozen yogurt,” he said.

Yogurt LeCrepe is at 61 S. Broadway in Tarrytown. For more information on the menu and store hours, visit yogurtlecrepe.com.
