Margaret Black Awarded Fred Dayton Award In Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Margaret Black, vice president of operations at Allan Block Insurance Agency was awarded the Fred Dayton Award by the Westchester Independent Agents on March 10 at IIAWC’s annual Education Day at the DoubleTree in Tarrytown.

The Fred Dayton Award is presented to an Independent Agent for their outstanding contributions to the Association and to their community.

Black is involved in many insurance industry groups. She has held positions of president of the IIAWC and chaired their Education Day and Scholarship Committee. In addition she has been president of the NY Hudson Valley User Group, chaired several Committees of Applied Client Network, including the Product Advisory Committee working with Applied Systems, where she continues to volunteer and serves on Traveler’s Agent Technology Council.

She is the recipient of several Presidential Citations from Applied Client Network for her work on behalf of the insurance industry. In the Community, Black serves on the local Community Food Pantry of Sleepy Hollow And Tarrytown, is President of the Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns and serves the Christopher Manno Scholarship Fund.
