Borden, of Manhattan, has served in her current position with CBS since 2005. As co-head of the intellectual property section for CBS, she advises on copyright and trademark issues for all divisions, including the CBS Television Network, TV Stations Group, CBS Radio, Simon & Schuster publishing, Showtime Networks Inc., Westinghouse licensing and CBS Interactive Inc.
She also advises on content piracy, user-generated content, digital distribution of content, social media, and supporting the purchase and sale of businesses.
Borden first came to know of Abbott House while serving as a pro bono adviser for intellectual property rights, through the Pro Bono Partnership. Beginning in 2013, Borden was instrumental in advising Abbott House in its preparations for video content during its 50th anniversary celebration. Her interest in helping Abbott House continued, culminating in her acceptance of an invitation to join the board of directors.

Founded in 1963, Abbott House is a nonprofit organization serving foster children, children awaiting family reunification, youths with mental health issues, and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
