TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - A former Chief Driver for the Tarrytown Fire Department, Henry A. Napoli died Oct. 7. He was 95.
Napoli was born on Feb. 22, 1916 to Andrew and Adeline Picarelli Napoli in New York City. During World War II, he served in the US Navy. He married the late Helen Jandrucco on Sept. 15, 1940.
His service to Tarrytown was exemplified by his life active membership of Washington Engine Co. No. 2 of the Tarrytown Fire Department, where he served as chief driver for more than 20 years. A member of the American Legion at Spencer Kelly Post, Napoli also worked as an assembler for Anaconda Wire & Cable in Hastings for several years.
Napoli is survived by his daughter Barbara Brancaccio with husband Keith of Ossining, his brother Andrew Napoli of West Virginia, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, his son Hank Napoli, Jr., his brother Anthony and his sisters Immaculate Napoli and Grace Lombardi.
Friends and family may visit from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleep Hollow, with interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
