SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Florence Ann Doorley, formerly of Sleepy Hollow, died March 19 at the age of 94.
Doorley was born in Tarrytown on Nov. 13, 1917 to John and Florence Brophy. She graduated from Washington Irving High School. Most recently of Croton-on-Hudson, she married the late William A. Doorley.
She is survived by her sons Col. William A. Doorley, Jr. of Hilton Head, S.C. and Kevin Doorley of Croton-on-Hudson, her daughter Bette Ann Scranton of Cold Spring, N.Y., eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
