Lee, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and had undergone a double mastectomy last year, subsequently developed an infection and had to have more surgery.

Lee, who kept folks up to date through social media posts, wrote on her Facebook page that she hoped it was her last visit “to the operating table.”

In her post, Lee said the road to full healing has been “a path of unexpected and difficult detours.”

“Even without extra challenges in recovery, the last year of treatment and expanders bring pain that makes you want to fast-forward the calendar pages to the final phase which, for me, comes this Thursday,” she wrote on Facebook.

Lee went on to thank friends, family and fans who supported her during her ordeal.

“I am hopeful and thrilled with relief to be cancer free and completely back to me (or, in some parts, even younger),” Lee said.

Lee’s “Semi-Homemade Cooking” show premiered on the Food Network in 2003.
