We asked for your favorites; five have been narrowed down as part of our contest and those finalists are being profiled this week.

What Makes It Pasta Perfect: The eatery, with famed Westchester Chef Christian Petroni at the helm, is revered for its wood-fired pizzas and straight forward Italian food. The eatery, which has locations in Armonk, Rye Brook and Stamford, is known for cranking out dishes that are both robust and refined -- with hints of dining a la Rome or Milan or Sicily.
Worth Special Mention: This place has a hip vibe thanks to its rustic-industrial-complex décor and its inventive cocktails. Yelpers love that there's "never a dull moment," -- it can be quite spirited -- with food that's "always amazing." Fortina is also known for having extensive craft beer choices and a wine list that's divided into sections by style (light, medium, full bodied), many of them Italian.
