Teen Use Of E-Cigarettes Triples, According To Report

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new report says the use of electronic cigarettes has tripled in middle and high school teens from 2013 to 2014, according to the New York Times.

The proliferation of e-cigarettes and the growth of the use of hookah pipes led to an increase of 400,000 new young users of tobacco-related products. It marks the first increase in years, The New York Times reported. 

The FDA is taking steps to regulate e-cigs, but the prevailing fear is that the product is growing at a rate that far exceeds the implementation of new regulations, The New York Times said.
