The Oath -- located at 5 Main St. downtown in an already crowded field of eateries and purveyors of craft ales -- has branded itself as a cross between a modern, “mead hall” and a waffle house, the Times said.

The waffles show up in everything from soups to salads to the fried chicken platter … even desserts, the report said.

Besides the filling entrees and bar food (American with a French-Canadian accent), Oath offers 20 tap lines that are changed out regularly, the Times said.

Oath rated a “good” on the Times’s reviewer’s scale.
