Pick a Designated Driver: That means no alcoholic beverages.

Practice Defensive Driving: Be extra cautious of other drivers as they may be under the influence of drugs/alcohol or distracted by passengers. 

Plan Ahead: Be sure to have the contact information for a few taxi companies in your cell phone or opt to stay overnight at a friend's house or at an area hotel for the night. It is always better to err on the side of caution.
