Fanelli, who has led the tredici STEAK team in Manhattan and also worked at Felidia’s and Rao’s, is known for taking classic Italian dishes and putting a creative spin on them. Diners can expect items like Tuna Tartare, Braised Leek and Chicory Flan along with fresh, handmade pasta. Of special note: The Zucca, burrata ravioli with pumpkin and butternut squash crema, browned butter, and sage, bruléed with smoked whiskey sugar; and Kobe ravioli with dark chocolate and fontina.

Other dishes include Veal Chop Valdostana, Wild Boar; and Lamb Chops grilled with a whiskey smoked sugar and cayenne dusted chops, sweet potato marshmallow flan, and ginger beer braised greens.

Taking full advantage of his smoker, Fanelli also plans on offering unique smoked dishes, such as Smoked Long Island Duck with porcini and vanilla oil over pappardelle; as well as a variety of steaks hand selected by Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors, and an exclusive burger blend of prime beef belly. Fresh seafood selections, such Black Sea Bass with gigante beans, nduja, aged balsamic and lobster reduction and Fanelli’s signature Angry Lobster served in a cast iron pan, are also available.

The restaurant will also feature an International wine list as well as a nice selection of beers and specialty cocktails.

Michael Macaluso, M.J. Macaluso & Associates can be credited with tredici NORTH’s design, which consists of three distinct environments, a first floor dining room, bar and second floor intimate dining space (80 seats total). Like its cuisine, the design is a thoughtful examination into the interplay of essential elements and references on the senses.

The bar serves as the dining room’s focal point, meticulously constructed from reclaimed terra cotta, paying homage to the earthy Italian tradition from which the restaurant was born.

tredici NORTH, located at 578 Anderson Hill Road, will be open everyday for dinner, with daily lunch and Sunday brunch to come. For more information, call (914) 997-4113 or go to www.tredicinorth.com/.
