You only have to go as far as Queens to get an up close and personal view including the fictional (but true to the period) kitchen of the Draper's Ossining home where it looks like Don or Betty could walk in any minute. (Sorry, fans, no replica of the Francises' Rye abode.)
This new exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image opened two and a half weeks ago and includes key elements of the award-winning TV show including the writers’ room where Creator/Writer Matthew Weiner and his team crafted story ideas and scripts for the series, complete with story notes.
Other items on display include iconic costumes and key props from the series, including Don Draper's suit, Joan Holloway’s red dress from the SCDP holiday party, Megan Draper's “Zou Bisou Bisou” dress, and Don Draper's box with objects that reveal his true identity.
The exhibition will be on view through June 14 and coincides with the series’ final seven episodes, which air on AMC beginning Sunday at 10 p.m.
