The juice/smoothie bar, which opened in September 2014, is 100 percent organic, with options for vegans and those on a gluten-free diet.
Owner Vance Campbell said opening this restaurant is a dream come true. A veteran of the hospitality industry he personally eats healthy and wanted to offer those kind of choices to his customers.
"I get a lot of compliments on my Tiffer panini," said Campbell. For those wondering what that is, it's a black Angus steak panini with sautéed onions and pepper jack cheese. "I named it after my daughter Tiffany who loves steak," he said.
Tiffany Campbell is not the only fan. "I am a vegetarian so this will definitely be a restaurant that I will take my family to," said Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.
Personal Trainer Anthony DiPalo agreed. "At Mix on Main, the food is very good, it contains low salt which is very healthy, and there are lots of veggie sides to choose from. Also, the staff is very friendly," he said.
Dobbs Ferry resident Rachel Weitner noticed the new eatery when she was taking her kids to the Dobbs Ferry library over the summer before it officially opened. "I was really excited to see a healthy restaurant was going to open here," she said.
"The Tiffer is my favorite panini and I just had the chicken soup and it was delicious. My son likes the 'Mango Bango' smoothie," she added. "I probably order or go there once a week. I think that Mix on Main needs more publicity, though. Not enough locals know about it and how good and healthy the food is."
Mix on Main is located at 63 Main St, (914-479-5555) and offers take out, table service, and delivery. The eatery also delivers within Dobbs, Irvington, Ardsley and Hastings.
