“Joining Forces” is a national initiative to ensure military families have the support from the community that they have earned. Spearheaded by First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, it focuses on employment, education and wellness.

By signing on, Nursing Program Director Peggy Tallier has promised that program policies consider the needs of veterans, active military and their families.

She specifically wants to enhance the preparation of nurses to care for service men and women.

More than 625 schools of nursing in all 50 states have pledged their support. For more information on "Joining Forces", visit the website.
