Let’s Talk Prevention: Knowledge is your first and best defense against cancer: Understanding cancer, preventing it and ending it. Stop by for this informative roundtable discussion about the latest recommendations on screening and risk reduction at 1 p.m. Thursday. Reservations are required; call 914-681-1119. This informational will be at the White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Teatime Talk: BUSTing the myths: Bras, underwires and other breast cancer myths: Set the record straight about some commonly held misconceptions regarding breast cancer at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 7. Reservations are required; call 914-681-1119. The talk will be at Athleta, 700 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Put a Little Giggle in Your Wiggle; The Importance of Humor in Heart Health: Guest speaker Deirdre Otto, certified therapeutic specialist for a discussion on the importance of humor in heart health at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7. The event will be in the White Plans Hospital's emergency department conference room, 41 E. Post Road, White Plains.

Bariatric Surgery Wellness Workshop: Bi-monthly workshops to support patients who have undergone surgery. The workshops will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 15 in the White Plains Hospital’s centennial room, 41 E. Post Road, White Plains. Sorting Through The Headlines And Learning The Facts About Cancer: Dr. Joshua Raff, director of the digesive cancer program at White Plains Hospital, will help sort the truth behind recent headlines on cancer risks and early detection at 1 p.m. April 22 in the Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road. Breast Cancer Risk Reduction and Updated Approach for Breast Cancer Screening: Dr. Sara Sadan and Dr. Pamela Weber will discuss breast cancer risk reduction, 3-D mammography, 3-D ultrasound and an updated approach to breast cancer screening at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23 in the Pelham Public Library, 530 Colonial Ave. For reservations, call Denise Kinsella at 914-684-8100.

Annual Neighborhood Health Fair: Free screenings, information and exhibits.
