“Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” Screening 6:30 p.m. Warner Library screens a film about a fisheries expert who helps a sheik bring the sport of fly-fishing to the desert. Rated PG-13. Warner Library, 121 N. Broadway, Tarrytown.

Friday, Dec. 14

From the Underground to Uptown: A History of Dance As We Know It! 7:30 p.m. The Sleepy Hollow Performing Artists showcase works spanning the history of dance. Call 914-909-5070 for tickets. Admission is $20. Also Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Irvington Town Hall Theater, 85 Main St., Irvington.

Cherish the Ladies: A Celtic Christmas 8 p.m. Cherish the Ladies, a group of five women, will perform Christmas carols and share timeless Irish traditions, including step dancing. Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St., Tarrytown.
