Westchester Medical Center Hosts Cocktail Reception For MidHudson Hospital

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester Medical Center invites area residents to visit Shimmer, a brand new cocktail style reception to benefit the MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center.

The fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, on the historic grounds of the Boscobel House and Gardens in Garrison, N.Y. The event will include music, dancing, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a light fare.

Boscobel will set mood for Shimmer, a luminous evening featuring thousands of brilliant lights, creating shimmering displays along with festive holiday happenings all around the gardens and grounds. Guests can walk the candlelit paths and celebrate the season with family and friends as they take in the holiday ambience of this historic Hudson Valley property.

Proceeds from Shimmer will benefit MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center. In addition, a special Shimmer Diamond Raffle will take place during the evening. A $100 donation provides a chance to win a spectacular shimmering 1.76 carat blue diamond. Each entry will come with a glass of sparkling champagne — poured through our diamond ice luge.

All proceeds from the Shimmer Diamond Raffle will go directly to support the new Women’s Imaging Center at the Redl Center for Cancer Care at MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, the former Saint Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
