Top Acts Converge On White Plains For Annual Jazz Festival

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Music fans will be flocking to White Plains this week for its annual Jazz Fest.

Sponsored by the White Plains BID and ArtsWestchester, the festival, which is in its 5th year, kicked off Tuesday and continues through Sunday, Sept. 25.

"It's growing bigger and better than ever," said White Plains mayor Thomas Roach. "It has become a White Plains tradition.

This year’s featured groups include: the Gary Smulyan Organ Quartet, SOURCE International African Jazz Band, Baby Soda, Bob Baldwin, Myra Casales, Joe Boykin & Friends, and Awa Sangho.

The more than a dozen concerts are located at sites throughout the city. The venues are accessible by public transportation.
